About this data
Tender in Nepal collects government procurement notices from Nepal's newspapers and shows each one exactly as it was printed, with a few details read from it so you can search and filter.
Where the notices come from
Notices are taken from the digital editions of Gorkhapatra, The Rising Nepal and Annapurna Post. New editions are processed once a day. This is not a government website, and it is not the publisher of any notice.
It is not complete. Tenders published only in other newspapers, or only online, are not here.
How a notice gets here
- Software finds the procurement notices on each newspaper page.
- Each notice is cut out of the page as an image. The image is not edited, translated or retyped.
- Software reads details from the notice: the procuring office, reference number, deadline and a few others.
- No person reviews the result before it appears.
Check the printed notice
The image is the notice. The details beside it are read by software and can be wrong or missing. We have not yet measured how accurate or complete this collection is, so some notices may not be here at all. Before you rely on a deadline or an address, check it on the printed notice and with the procuring office.
What the details mean
| Detail | How it is found |
|---|---|
| Procuring office | The office name as printed in the notice. Official websites are shown only when the name matches an official record. |
| Province and district | From the place named in the office's printed name, not from where the work will happen. Federal bodies that print a city name are placed by that city. |
| Published | The date of the newspaper edition. |
| Apply before | Only when the notice has a clearly labelled submission deadline. Dates printed in Bikram Sambat are converted to the calendar date with a fixed table. The date carries no time of day, so the deadline day counts as open until it ends. If the date is unclear, it is left out. A later amendment or extension may have changed it. |
| Subject, category, estimated cost | Only when printed on one line next to a clear label. Most notices do not have these yet. |
A detail marked Not stated is one the notice does not give. See notice image means the notice may give it, but it has not been read yet.
